2018年2月11日上午，习近平总书记驱车2个多小时，从西昌市来到位于大凉山深处的昭觉县三岔河乡三河村、解放乡火普村，走进彝族贫困群众家中，看实情、问冷暖、听心声。4年多来，习近平50多次赴各地考察，走遍了中国14个集中连片的贫困区，“看真贫”成了他每次出行的必备科目。距离2020年还有不到2年时间，中国能否兑现承诺，确保我国现行标准下农村贫困人口实现脱贫？全世界都在拭目以待。
